am i a wimp...

...if my favorite part of yoga is the part at the end, when we lie on the floor?

I like to think that I'm learning how to better appreciate the resting part of hard work. I mean, lying on the floor after my body works hard is more than just lying on the floor. It feels earned and lovely and necessary.

Or. It could just mean I'm a wimp.

My favorite part of running is playing video games later that evening.

i had similar thoughts the other day when i was doing a yoga dvd. i do love the working part of yoga, but that lying down part (shivasana? or something? corpse pose...) is definitely lovely.

i beleve it's definitely earned also. speaking of yoga... i'm actually about to do that right now.

namaste.

Nah, you're not a wimp. That's my favorite part too (down dog is my second, I really love it after doing other tough positions). And after being through unmedicated childbirth 3 times, I know for sure I'm not a wimp. It one of those rewarding positions where you know you're "working" your body and it's bliss.

I think you deserve a big round of applause for just being in yoga. I cannot muster the patience to do yoga, or even just lie on the floor. (Instead I just eat chocolate to help my aching body.) Way to go.

janel...i'm with you. yoga is awesome if i can get myself to hold poses for more than 2 seconds. i just get bored!

Ha! That's totally how I feel. I don't think you're a wimp. I just think it's that relief of realizing you just did something incredible with your body.
